  • Ensure players have the information they need at precisely the right time
  • Contribute to concepts and pitches
  • Troubleshoot live products and design enhancements to reduce friction for users

  • A passion for excellence in interface design and usability
  • In-depth knowledge of UI and UX principles
  • Creative leader with excellent communication skills

  • Experience with Unity is not essential but would be a plus

Why choose Mediatonic?

You LOVE games and want to be surrounded by talented [super nice] people who share your passion for brilliant game experiences.
You enjoy a rich variety of projects rather than working on a single franchise or business model for many years at a time
You care about making a big impact on your projects and so you appreciate the beauty of working in smaller teams
You want to work on next generation platforms including Smartphones, Tablets, Steam, XBOX One and PS4
You enjoy the buzz of being based in the heart of Britain’s greatest cities!

Working at Mediatonic

Above all, we take pride in crafting games that challenge and inspire us.

We hire experts to take on the biggest creative and technical challenges we can get our hands on and we invest in our people for the long term.

Working in small and ambitious teams we strive for minimal hierarchy.  Our philosophy is open and informal whilst also being really hardworking.

Our studios are based in the heart of central London and Brighton and both have their own games rooms and fully stocked fridge.  You’ll find plenty of social events and activities during and outside of work time including:

Game nights, Board game nights, Life Drawing Classes, Game Jams, Tech Talks, pub trips and even a visiting Chef once a month who provides lunch for the whole company.

Application information

We receive thousands of applications every year.  As a small team we try our best to respond to everyone that applies but we don’t always get this right.  We know how hard it is to find the right role and we’re really grateful for every application that we receive.

Here’s some advice when applying to Mediatonic…

A cover letter that tells us a bit about you and what you’re passionate about is essential to get our attention and distinguish your application from the crowd.

Candidates will most often be assessed on the strength of their portfolio and previous work so make sure you provide links and examples wherever you can, even if it’s non-commercial examples such as university coursework or personal projects.

Successful applications will usually receive a short written questionnaire and have a phone chat before being invited to an interview at Mediatonic with at least one member of our Leadership team.  In some cases there will be a technical challenge and a final stage interview before we make our final decision.
